New House

Hi All!

Well, we've been in our home for almost 2 weeks now anre we are loving it! It's great to have our own space, not sharing walls and yards and parking lots. We are pretty much settled, although there are still a few boxes and some pictures waiting for my attention.
We finally have our internet up and running and our wirelsess network too. For the past, almost two weeks, we've been able to tap into a network nearby, but it has been slow and very unreliable. It's nice having our own connection.
Ivie and Elly seem to have adjusted very quickly. The wood floors have been a challenge to Elly with her trying to perfect her crawling skills, and I have to admit that the wood floors cause me to be extra nervous when she pulls herslf up and wobbles in place. The girls have their own playroom (not the living room) now and Ivie just LOVES that. Every morning that's the first place she heads, and I usually have to carry her to the table for breakfast because she is so in love with all her play space.
We have started to get the yard reseeded and the flower beds could use some work too, although I need to figure out how to care for some of the plants. There is nothing that HAS to be done here, just things we want to do to make it our own.
Mike is headed out to CA next Saturday for about 4 weeks of training. We did receive some great news that his deployment has been postponed. No definite dates were given, but somewhere between November and March, still for 15 months. They have been told where they will probably end up, and it's not good at all, although that can change (and hopefully will). For now, we're just focusing on our time together and trying to make the best of it. It can be very difficult with this deployment looming over us, and more times than not the stress of it all gets the better of Mike, but we do try.
This weekend looks to be a beauty; we're heading to the zoo tomorrow.
Happy Mother's day to all, and moms, I'm mailing gifts/cards in the morning (sorry about the delay).
