I repainted the fireplace today and I absolutely LOVE the color. It would have been nice if I picked it out the first time, but I've learned my lesson; always bring home color samples to view them in our home, with our lighting, not just HD's. Our carpenter is returning tomorrow to finish his part of the job, and then I just have to tile. I am very excited to think our first home project is almost complete!
Our little friend, A, graduated from kindergarten today and we went to her ceremony. It was quite cute. We were able to celebrate with her last year, too, for her pre-school graduation. I am blown away at just how quickly the time has passed and thinking it won't be long until we're attending Ivie's graduations. WOW! Ivie was very excited to go to "A's big school" today. A ran some errands with us this afternoon and Ivie was just beside herself with happiness to spend the day with A. A and Ivie have a very sister-like relationship; some days they are wonderfully sweet to each other, and other days they can't seem to get along. Today was one of those great days. I think it's kinda cool to have A with me when I run errands because it gets me into some great practice for when we will have 3 (or more) little ones. Having all three girls can make quick trips a bit more hectic than if I went by myself, but they are all so sweet and fun and I enjoy their company. I have to admit that I am a bit blown away by all the looks and comments from others in the stores; "Wow, you sure have your hands full." or "How'd you manage to have three little girls, I couldn't even get one." The looks as if I am crazy to leave the house with so many children (since when has three children been a lot?)
I'll update our picture website tomorrow with pics of the almost finished fireplace, be sure to check it out!
