Busy Mama!

Well, I just couldn't stand waiting any longer to get the playroom/soon to be girls' room painted! I went Tuesday to pick up some samples, got some feedback from C, K (C's husband) and S and decided on pink; Raspberry Lemonade actually. The paint matches the middle shade of pink in the wallpaper border. I painted just the lower half of the walls and will put the border between the painted half and the white half. I managed to complete the painting within an hour tonight; I was very impressed.
I am excited, a bit overwhelmed with having pink walls in the girls' room, but overall excited. For those of you that don't know me well, I have major phobias of too much color/stuff on walls, not to mention getting too settled into a home just in case the Army decides to move us next year (highly possible). So this is a majorly big step for me, not only to have painted, but that I painted the walls pink. I am not sure how long it'll take me to get used to having pink walls in our home. But, knowing how excited Ivie is, and I'm sure Elly (she just doesn't let me know) that makes it all worth while.
I still have a bit of work to do in the room and I am hoping to get it all accomplished by the weekend so I can go and buy bunkbeds and dressers! I have to reorganize all the toys (I'm buying under bed storage containers to help with that) and buy a new bookcase and fill that and also tackle the closet. That scares me. The "new" closet is half the size of their current one, so I've got a lot of work ahead of me finding good closet organizers and trying to make it work! But, I think the new dressers are rather large, so it might not be as bad as I am anticipating (things rarely are).
Once I get the girls room finished, I'll be able to focus on the baby's. I'm basically doing the same thing in there as the girls' room, but I also have lots of wash to do in preparations of the little guy. I've gotta say, I'm looking forward to that too. The only time I ever enjoy doing laundry is cute, teeny, tiny baby laundry! I'll also have to get out all the little baby toys and blankets and all that fun stuff.
The best thing about all this is that I am not freaking out about getting it all done. I definitely feel the need to nest, I mean re-nest, but without all the anxiety like I did in the past. Who knows how long I'll actually have the anxiety-free re-nesting urge, but I'll enjoy it while I can!
