Up to speed

I cannot believe it's been so long since my last post. I cannot say we've been doing anything exciting or time consuming to cause the lack of posts, guess my pregnancy brain is getting the best of me!
We had a nice Easter with our friends. We had a yummy dinner with way, way too much food and a fun Easter egg hunt and lots of candy, too much candy for our little girls. Ivie has only once asked for candy since Easter, so we still have a lot of candy sitting in a bowl on the cupboard. Guess there's no harm in tossing it out.

Ivie had last week off from school for Spring Break. I can tell she missed school and she is excited to head back tomorrow. Elly also had the week off from Speech since L works at Ivie's school (she took the week off too) and has continued to make good progress with new words and lots of jibberish. Elly has 4 teeth coming in right now and the poor girl is not holding up too well. I need to leave her at the CDC tomorrow and I feel bad about that, knowing she just wants extra mommy time, but there's no way I can get my teeth cleaned, Ivie's too, and still manage to keep an eye on Elly.

Mike has been insanely busy and I haven't heard much from him. He's doing missions day and night with very, very little sleep. He did go before the promotion board on 28 March left with a perfect score. Now we just have to wait for next month's point cut-off list to be posted to see if he's made the cut. It's all based on points earned for many different things (PT, Range Cards, schooling/training, etc) so points needed varies from month to month. I am very proud of how well he did and he sounded the same. Right now he's still at the outpost where the boards were held and will work there until they can get an extra vehicle to head back to his JSS. He's still working like crazy, but for now it's with different people and in a different area. We're getting excited to think he'll be home in about 6 weeks or so!

I've been keeping busy as usual with all my motherly/wifely duties. My energy is remaining pretty stable and I am still feeling very well. I am preparing myself for the task of preparing the baby's room but am very relieved to think it won't be near as much work as the girls' room was. I'm planning on doing that over the next week or two, we'll just see how my energy and body holds up!

I guess that's it for now. I'll have more to post as the week progresses with my OB appointment, a c-section date and probably other surprises that God has in store for us!
