been a while....

Yep, I'm really adding a post to our Blog. I know, I can hardly believe it either! I'm on the computer practically everynight, and I just can't figure out why I don't update our Blog, so I decided I just needed to do it. No promises that I'm going to do this everyday (we really aren't that exciting) but I'll make an effort.
It's been about 7 months since I last added a post, a TONS has happened since then. I'll try to summarize: we've added another beautiful little girl to our family (and she's almost 6 months old), been reunited from an 11 1/2 month deployment, had a couple of birthdays, a trip to MI (luckily missing all the snow storms to hit CO) and have also learned a lot: reuniting can be as tough as it is wonderful, not all safety items are childproof (nothing harmful), LOTS of new words (Ivie) and rolling over and almost sitting without support (Elly). We've had a lot of change but I think life qould be too boring without it. I definitley learned that I am a strong, capable woman and this military life has become second nature to me.
For Mike, work's getting back to "normal". He's been given some extra responsibility (translated into lots of extra work) and is getting back into his own little groove. I think I have lost all sense of what "normal" is, and I just take one day at a time. Sometimes hoping for a little bit of boring, but mostly ending up with nonstop fun and housework.
Right now, we're hoping to move to a bigger home on post. There have been a lot of changes withing the 4th ID and 1000's of troops and their families are expected to arrive here in the next 4 months and we're hoping that there's something available that will accomodate our growing family and toy boxes! It can be a bit frustrating wanting a bigger home, but being limited due to Mike's rank. We need space just as much as higher ranking enlisted and commisioned soldiers/officers, but we don't have tons of options. Just a part of our Army life. I'll let you know how all that pans out.

Ivie's funny saying of the day (after Elly spit up in her carseat) "Ick, oh dosh".
