what a week

Well, it has been a week, I think, since I last posted something here. My computer has been being goofy again and I just haven't felt like dealing with it.
Ivie has been busy; crawling, playing reading talking, trying new foods, etc. She eats tofu! This is good because if I were to give her meat now, I'd have to puree it, and that just doesn't appeal to me. So, I have added tofu and peanut butter to her diet to help with protein and fat. We have been to the park just about everyday to swing. She LOVES to swing. She has also discovered the stairs, prompting me to install a gate on the steps. Of sourse, since doing so, she has been to the stairs once! But, it's better for us to be safe. A couple days ago she fell face first onto the kitchen floor and bit her lip. I saw her bleed and had to try very hard to keep it together as to not frak Ivie out anymore than she already was. Of course sh survived and without a trip to the ER. I put ice on her lip the best she'd let me and just kept an eye on her. As usual, it was more traumatic for me than her. I left her in the nursery today at church. This was the first time I left her with a stranger! I was very worried. Apparently she slept the whole time though. The child care provider ended up helding her the entire time because Ivie cried for 10 minutes when she was placed in the crib. Poor baby!
Mike has returned from "the box". He heard that they are trying to get the guys home before labor day, which is earlier than expected. Woo-Hoo! Upon leaving the box, everyone is assigned detail to get a lot of work done as quickly as possible. Mike was given the task of city clean-up. Basically he is cleaning all the trash and stuff accumilated in their mock city over the past 2 weeks. It sucks, but someone has to do it. Of course he isn't the only one doing it, but it still isn't fun work. Hopefully by being super busy this last week, time will go by quickly and he'll be home before he knows it. Ivie and I don't have much planned, probably just some more trips to the park. Oh, we have to go to Wal-Mart and have our memory sticks turned into CD's. They are both full and I will have a few grumpy grandparents if I do not get more pictures out quickly!
That's about it for us. Talk later!
