Just another day

I talked to Mike tonight. I have been able to talk with him everyday since he left; it's been great! He said they are starting their training tomorrow, which is 2 days ahead of schedule. Maybe that means they'll return earyl too. I am definitely not getting my hopes up, but that would sure be nice.
Mike has had some very laid back days, but they have been incredibly hot. He is ready to get his training on the way. The food hasn't been too hot either, but I guess he needs to get used to it because he'll be having more than his fair share in the desert. At least it helps him to appreciate my cooking so much when he returns. I'm not a bad cook, but wish I could cook like they do on those cooking shows.
Today, Ivie has been so incredibly silly! I don't know what has gotten into her. I really enjoy spending my days with her. For someone who cannot carry on an actual conversation, she is such great company. We say goodnight to Mike's picture before naps and at bedtime and she laughs and smiles and talks to him. It is very cute. We have been playing in her tunnel and she has been having a blast. She roll on her back and kick it and laugh and squeal. Who knew that could be so fun. It's supposed to rain through the weekend, but when it clears up I want to take it outside and let her have fun in the grass!
