Alden is now 4 months old! Well, 4 months and 4 days to be exact. I can hardly believe. He visited the doctor on Tuesday for his well baby appointment. He weighed in at 14 lbs 15 oz and 25 in long. He's in the 15% for weight and 20% for length; he's smaller than both the girls were at this age (they were almost always in the 50%). He doesn't seem that way to me, but a friend of mine has a son 2 weeks younger than Alden, born 6 weeks early, and he's bigger than my little man! Alden is doing just fine though. He's been eating nearly 40oz of formula a day for the past couple of weeks so he tried Avocado this week! He seems to be doing okay with it, trying to figure the whole swallowing food from a spoon concept always takes a few tries. But, the little stinker, loves to smile and talk to me so he ends up with a lot of food on his face and bib rather than in his tummy. It's just so sweet that he lights up like that around me.
The girls are doing well. They've been playing so much lately and playing pretty well at that. Elly continues to expand her vocabulary and her imagination. She is getting better at playing WITH Ivie, not just along side her. Ivie loves to play with Elly, especially ponies or Barbies, and Ivie does a great job modeling interactive play.
Nothing new with Mike, busy as usual. I still get emails daily and the occasional phone call. I am so glad that we were able to get our MAC so he could take the laptop back to I. They've got Internet in their chu so it makes it easy for him to send me a quick note letting me know he's okay.
As for me, I'm doing better. I spent a couple days with C this week and that really helped. I've been brainstorming different things I can do to help me regain some structure without feeling burdened by that. So, Monday's going to be the start of a more productive, structured week. I'll let y'all know how that goes!
It's bath night here so I must go; the girls are can't wait any longer to turn into mermaids.
