Homeward Bound

Great News y'all, Mike is on his way home!!!!!!

He called last night to let me know his itinerary and he left Kuwait about 2:30pm our time. He'll have a few stops this trip, Germany or Ireland, Atlanta, Dallas/Ft. Worth and, finally, Colorado Springs. His flight is scheduled to arrive at 4:35pm on Saturday, 10 May. He'll be here until the 29th and he'll fly out at 6:30am.
I have completely cleaned the house, have laundry caught up and finished up some last minute errand running. I still have a few odds and ends to deal with tomorrow like putting away the girls' laundry, picking up last minute things around the house and hopefully getting some great rest.
After naps tomorrow, I'm planning on getting us all ready and making our way to the airport by 4:00pm, maybe sooner. American Airlines, which is what the Army uses for R&R, will issue gate passes for military families so we can greet our soldier as soon as he gets off the plane! I'm really looking forward to that. We missed that last time because Mike surprised us with an earlier arrival (about 5 hours early).
I feel good about this all. Very little, if any stress, and just prepared to welcome both of my men (little and big) home. I told Ivie that daddy's plane picked him up and will ring him home after naps tomorrow. We went out this morning and bought new outfits for the girls and that was fun for them. Ivie kept saying "Daddy will love to see my wear this."
Off to bed I go; I'll post sometime soon just to let you know that Mike made it safely home.
