Finally

I finally sorted through our pictures from October and the beginning of this month. I found that it might have been better to give Ivie camera duty rather than Mike, seeing as how he has a different approach to capturing memories and fun times than most people would expect. He, apparently, likes to take photos of his siblings faces very close up, too close to actually figure out who it is exactly, pictures of the floor, ceiling, lights, windows, etc. I certainly am not one to critique his photos, but I do draw the line at blur! I posted some of our pics on our website, however there are a lot more I want to post but I need to double check with the family to make sure they won't mind their photos on our website.
There has been an icky, stomach-flu going around and it caught up with Elly and Mike. Elly, thank goodness, had a very speedy recovery; she spent the morning sick and just after lunchtime was ready to eat, drink and play. Mike, however, got sick this evening, after dinner, and has been icky ever since. He finally fell asleep in his chair a couple hours ago and I am keeping myself and Ivie barricaded on my room as long as I can. It's hard being a sick SAH mother, and even more so when I am pregnant and have this little baby inside of me to care for. Not to mention that I just cannot handle the stomach flu; it's just the worst. I have grand plans of bleaching any surface that can withstand such a cleaning and washing every piece of fabric that has come in contact with Mike and Elly. Despite me fighting my fatigue, there's nothing like the tummy flu to get me motivated to deep clean the house.
I have been feeling just fine and pray I'll continue to be. I have been having more and more spurts of energy lately, leading me to think that hopefully, over the next couple of weeks, my fatigue will wear off and I'll be ready to handle all the household responsibilities and single-parenting just fine.
Still no word on Mike's departure, and probably won't be until last minute. For safety purposes, I'll let everyone know once he's left, but I won't post his exact departure day ahead of time. We're planning on earlier in the time frame than later, just so we can make sure we get to celebrate Ivie's third birthday and Christmas before he heads out.
Well, I should get to bed to keep my body as rested and healthy as possible! Don't forget to check out our latest pics!
