lotsa happenings

I need to keep up with the blog better, it's hard for me to remember back so far. We have had a lot going on around here, so let me see what I can remember.

Mike took off for Warrior's Leadership Course in Utah a couple weeks ago. He's actually on his way home now. He passed everything just fine and is looking forward to coming home to his month of block leave. It was definitely an intense couple of weeks, the first half spent in classrooms for 10+ hours a day and the second half spent out in the field, it the below freezing cold and snow. A couple of nights they all had to come in from the field because it was too cold.

The wee ones have been doing well. Mike being gone wasn't a big issue for the girls but they are ready to see him in the morning. Alden's been pulling himself up on anything he can. He's been making a new sound too, it's quite cute. Y'all can check it out on our flickr site if you want. I'm still concerned about his speech and eating and am going to call and get him in to the pediatrician, I just don't want to wait another month, I am not seeing any improvements and I think his texture issues are begining to interfere with him getting and keeping a full tummy.

I have been working like crazy around here. I spent 3 long days working outside and I've got the house all sparkly and clean too. But, the blizzard that came last night prevented the realtor from coming out and photographing the house! I just need to keep it sparkly all weekend long which sounds easier than it is. We'll be listed in the MLS next week. I have to admit I'm still not ready to let go of Colorado and our home, but I know we need to move on. I trust there is something wonderful awaiting us in KY, I just hope the process moves along pretty quickly so I won't have time to be sad about it all.

We don't have anything planned for our time off so we'll just take things one day at a time and see what sounds like fun! I'd like to think we'll have to stay busy out and about because we're having lots of showings. For now, I just want Mike to come home safe and sound and have a good night's sleep! Sounds like a great idea for me too!
